Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon's WBO minimumweight title will not be at stake tonight at the Mario Quijote Morales Coliseum in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, after challenger Edgar "Tun Tun" Cardenas' failure to make the 105 pound limit. The fight will now be a non-title ten-rounder. 10 ROUNDS.

If this remains true and it remains a 10 Round bout, the wagers on either fighter ARE valid, but any wager on the OVER/UNDER .............which was 11.5..............are CANCELLED. I imagine most sportsbooks used the same number as they are mostly clones. Don't get fuked if it ends in a 10 RD dec, which is what is most likely, unless Cardenas is so outa shape that he cant even go 10.

Good luck 2nite.

Stayed a 12 rounder. Bets on Total have action.

Once again, Ivan "Iron Boy" Calderon showed why he is considered by many the best technician boxer to come out Puerto Rico in the last few decades. This time however, he also took the opportunity to prove to the fans that he does carry some power in his hands as well. Calderon, who has never been known as a big puncher, scored his fourth knock out victory in his young 19-fight career.

Calderon seemed to use every skilled in the book to completely control the pace of the fight from get-go. His opponent, former IBF 105lb champion Edgar 'Tun Tun' Cardenas, was valiant in his attempt, but he had the perfect style for Calderon. While Cardenas followed his opponent all over the ring, Calderon used his ring savvy, quick reflexes, effective counter punching and an arsenal of upper cuts to take control of every round. Cardenas, who weighed in 5 pounds over the limit yesterday, seemed tired, frustrated, and out gunned from the mid rounds on.

The end came in the 11th round, when Calderon connected a solid hook on Cardenas stomach that prevented him from beating the count. The fight was officially stopped by referee Gino Rodriguez at 1:33 of the 11th round.
